Nowadays, I really familiar with clothes, and also greatly interested in it, but after I entered university, I did not have any knowledge about clothes.

First of all................ no anime, no life!
At 5:00 pm on July 11th, "sengokubasara2" started !!
The setting of this story is the Warring States period in Japan.
The main character is Masamune Date who ruled over the Oshu area in this age! (Presently, "Oshu" means the area of Tohoku!)

When I was in high school, I was not so interested in Japanese history,so I did not majored its course.
However, The Warring States period is only exceptional category for me!

However, despite of its content related with the history, I think that this is just a action and gag animation!
If you do not like such a gag animation, I never recommend watching it:)!!

Some researcher found eating 100g dark chocolate for 15days has probability of preventing diabetes. Dark chocolates include one substance what is called “flavanol” which affect bringing down blood pressure. However chocolates contain a lot of fat and calories, so if you want to bring down blood pressure by eating chocolate, you should take it with low calories foods such as fruits and vegetables. In addition, as for ordinary people, eating chocolate is effective activities which prevent suffering from diabetes, but actual patients who suffering from diabetes need to do some exercise and control their conditions rather than eating chocolate.

At present, a lot of food are researched and considered as healthy foods by some professors and researchers. These researches are extremely meaningful and significant things for us to extend our life-span. However some researches have accurate evidence, but others do not have certain evidence so it is danger for us to believe easily uncertain information about foods. My father sent a precious gift for my birthday!
This is the picture of it.
I got really surprised when I heard that he presented me something and open the gift box because he has never given the birthday present me without my entreaty.
And also, as you know, GODIVA is one of most famous and expensive brand among the world chocolate company.
I cannot believe that these delicious chocolate were truly sent by my father.

On July 13th, finally, I have completed IE program!!
It has kept suffering us since we entered this university.
To be honest, the doubt, whether my English skill has improved or not though this course, will never fade away, but I made a great efforts, even if I do say so myself.
At last, I am free now!!

By the way, What do you imagine looking back upon the IE program?
May be everybody answer the same thing.
That is......... "assignment!" yeah, I think so too.
To pass the course, it required too much thing.
First, students have to keep regular attendance!
What is worse, we had a huge amount of assignments every week and every three semesters.
To write our own journal, read English literary book and analyst about it, preparing for news presentation, and so on!!

If the plans come to fruition, the structure aims to encourage a variety of species to “reclaim their urban landscape”. It is the vision of a small team of architects, a vertical solution to a horizontal desire to offer shelter to creatures in urban areas where space on the ground is tight.
The man behind the project, 26-year-old Neil Oxlee, hopes his “man-made tree” will provide a habitat for bats, birds, butterflies, insects and even foxes. He says the different species would thrive off each other like they would in a woodland environment, with minimal human involvement. “I’m not an animal expert, if it goes further we’d need to get a wildlife expert on board… to see exactly which ones eat the other ones. 3) SUMMARY
Some architects are planning to change the industrial factory into good environmental building which is made from recycled materials in the city, because there is not enough space to live wild animal in urban areas. Therefore, they want to make a space for wild animals between big and small to live together. However, scientist points out some problems. They wonder wild animal can live in such an artificially environment, so the plan is needs to reconsider among not only architects but also animal experts and the discussion is important.
4) OPINION
The consideration for the wild animals is really important and now, environmental pollution and environmental destroy are one of the most serious issue we faced. However, I do not think that living animals and human being in the same space is significantly solution for both of creatures. Too much protection causes the probabilities of dangerous to destroy the ecosystem. In addition, even using the recycled materials, maybe it cost them the large amount of money. I think the cost should be used other activity which save the earth such as planting tree. In conclusion, wild animal should live in wild areas and human being should consider how to save their wild area rather than planning to construct building.

The History of Japanese Comic Books

According to statistics from the website, Japan Magazine and Book Publisher’s and Editor’s Association from 1961 to 2006, total sales of published material in Japan is two trillion five-hundred billion yen, of which manga sales account for nearly one quarter. This means publishing manga has been major industry supporting a Japanese economy. In addition, this statistics show us that it took a long time to reach this large numbers and to grow the long history of Japanese comic book for 900 years. The history of Japanese comic book can be divided into three ages; from the Kamakura period to the Edo period, from the Meiji period to the end of the Taisho period, and the period after the WWⅡ.

The first age of Japanese comic book is the medieval period. The typical example of manga artwork in this era is Taba Soji. This artwork influenced the development of modern Japanese comic books. According to the statement from the website whose name is About.Com (1), animal which is painted in Taba Soji, satirized life in the Buddhist priesthood by drawing priests as mischievous rabbits, monkeys engaging in silly activities including farting contests, and even depicted the Buddha himself as a toad. Moreover, there are no word balloons or sound effects, but only the illustrations of animals. It achieved to show readers the progression of events which was happening one after another as the scroll is unrolled from right to left. At present, this is the common way to read comic books all over the world.

The second age of Japanese comic book is the modern era. Ponchi-e or Ponchi-style picture began to appear as the typical feature of Japanese artists and magazines at this time. Ponchi means satirizing political figures ironically. These kinds of artwork were strongly influenced from the British art style. According to the Website, About.Com (1), in 1862, the first foreign magazine was published by Charles Wagner in British military base which was located in Yokohama. Soon after that, Ponchi-e became the origin of satirical artwork and widely spread the satirizing artwork in Japan.

The last age of Japanese comic book is the present age. In recent decades, the most famous Japanese manga artist is Tezuka Osamu. His biggest achievement was creating the large amount of narrative manga which are similar to the films and linking between the each frame that tells the story. According to the website, The Network Museum and Magazine Report and Japan Media Art Plaza (1), in mid-1980s, thanks to the advance of Japanese comic books to Europe and Asia, the scale of Japanese comic market remarkably expanded. European comic critics highly evaluated his work and said that the recent Japanese comic books are more “cinematic” than that of American and European. Frame syntax in European comics is relatively underdeveloped while the contents are sophisticated. This is the reason why the many amount of Japanese comic books are widely spread not only in the Asia, but also in Europe.
In conclusion, there are three representative divisions in the history of Japanese comic books and each era has typical example of artwork such as Taba Soji, Ponchi-stylel picture and Tezuka’s artwork. These each feature was grown and created throughout the Japanese historical and social background which related to social unrest and prospered cultural exchanging with European countries. From this Japanese historical point of view, going through the development about history of Japanese comic books is the same meaning of understanding the Japanese history and interchanged history between Japan and European countries.

About The Death Penalty

The argument of the death penalty is one of the biggest issues all over the world. According to a statement from the Amnesty International website, “More than two- thirds of the countries in the world have now abolished the death penalty in the law or practice.”(1) Actually, almost every European country has amended their constitutions which disagree to the enforcement of the capital punishment since the end of 1990. So the death penalty should be abolished in Japan because English Plus said that Japan is the only industrial democracy besides the United States that continues to use capital punishment. (74)
The first reason is that no one, even the state, has the right to take away someone’s life. This is the fundamental human right affirmed and secured in Article 13 and Article 36 in the Constitution of Japan. Article 13 says that all of the people shall be respected as individuals. Their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness shall, to the extent that it does not interfere with the public welfare, be the supreme consideration in legislation and in other governmental affairs. In addition, Article 36 says that the infliction of torture by any public officer and cruel punishments are absolutely forbidden. All human being should be given the opportunity to change and compensate about our own mistakes by the government or nation. From this legal perspective, all human being, even the criminal, have the right to die with dignity.
The second reason is that capital punishment is not a means of revenge. According to the article, Harada who is one of the victim’s family and now, he tries to abolish the death penalty expresses his feeling that depriving the criminals off their lives does not mean anything. The victims have responsibility to compensate their crimes by living in a prison. The desire of victim’s family is not killing the criminal and legal system must not decided by emotional-based judgment. It is necessary to judge from the legal perspective. In addition, recently, the number of organizations which are composed by victim’s family is increasing. Actually, Harada also belongs to one of these organizations. This is the evidence that Harada is not only the person who against the death penalty in spite of victim of crime.
The next reason is about the possibility of a false charge. No matter how great the recent legal system, it is impossible to judge perfectly because laws are just created by human being, so the law and legal system are never being perfect. The murder case in Ashikaga is a typical example of a false charge. According to the article of Sankei news, in 1990, Mr. Sugaya was arrested for the murder who killed a little girl. Even thought he was found guilty after in the first trial, he continued to claim he was innocent, and finally because of not enough evidence, Mr. Sugaya was found completely innocent. However, although he could avoid death penalty, he has been restricted for 17 years and his precious life time never come back and restore. The biggest problem with the death penalty is the possibility of executing someone for a crime they do not commit. Once they are put to death, it cannot be undone. In conclusion, there are three major perspectives why I disagree to the death penalty. First, all human being has the right to die with dignity. The government has the responsibility to obey Japanese constitution. Second, the desire of the victim’s family is not killing the criminal. To compensate with death is not true resolution. Last, there is a possibility that the criminal is not guilty. If the state’s judgment is wrong, nation or government is just a murder. All human being are demanded to be aware the fact that crimes never extinct unless human are existed. However, all human being can change their minds even the murder or criminal if they have a chance and enough time. The death penalty deprives the opportunity to change their minds. That’s why we should carefully treat this argument and keep considering.

HANDCRAFT

My own aim in August is creating something!

I haven't decided what I am going to produce in detail yet, but creating wallpaper for my cork-board seems like interesting!!

Why I plan creating something is that Handcraft is one of my hobby since I was three or four years old!

And also, may be I will have a plenty of time in this summer break;)

From these reasons, this summer is good opportunity for me to brush up my artistic skill, I think!!

One day he operates a little boy's brain and saves his life, but this incident will cause serious crime like a nightmare.

Even though the genre of this story is mystery and its contents is a little bit violence, the ending song of this anime is really calm and made me comfortable at night.

The imbalance the contents and ending song is very attractive!!

The essay-type of examination was over in the 4th period!!
Unexpectedly, I could answer almost every question.
I feel really refreshed and comfortable now in spite of tomorrow's listening test, assignments and reexamination in the Spanish course:)

Anyway, looking back upon the lectures of the society and the culture in the are of England, they were very meaningful for me.
The theme and final goal of this lecture is understanding the identity, culture and socialism of people who live in the are of England through watching the movies which was produced in England.
At the first lecture, Mr. Kano who is the teacher of this class said people's characteristic and sense of value who live in the England are completely different from that of in America. He hates the Hollywood movies and their ways of thinking because only the optimistic does not mean anything.
I have never deeply considered and compared with the difference of these two countries, so his extreme and honest idea was really impressive and surprised me!!

The final-examination is coming soon.

Actually, tomorrow I will take one essay-type examination which is one of the Aoyama standard's course.

I am not good at writing logical composition, so I cannot help feeling much stress.

How awful day!

I got really shocked!!
All of the sudden, the display of my mobile phone does not indicate and show anything...
It only spreads the darkness on the display and it may be broken at last.

I have been used this mobile phone for more than two years, so it is the time to change old one to new model.
However, I do not change it and purchase new one because the latest model is very expensive for me.
In addition, I do not have enough time to buy new one.
So, now, I seriously consider what should I do.
Should I change or repairer.....

EXAMINATION......

Even though I have to study for the final-examination which will be held tomorrow and tackle to the large amount of my report, today I woke up at 9:00AM and I failed to eat my breakfast.
I completely wasted of my precious time, so now I am suffering from a guilty conscience.
What is worse, now, I started to turn on the computer and search a my favorite anime and character's wallpaper on the desktop as I am listening to anime song. It means that I access one website whose name is niconico :)
By the way, I finished to change the design of the desktop of my computer.

EAT OUT!!

My favorite dinner is hamburger!!

I have a confidence which continue to eat it consequence seven days as the dinner.

Of course, I often eat it in fast-food restaurant such as McDonald, but there is not anything else than hand-made hamburger!

Today I went to TWINS in Machida with my dormitory friend for the purpose of window-shopping after 5Th period.

So, at first, we did not any plans to eat out.

However, I could not ignore the fact that I was hungry!

After a few minutes we entered the building, we walked and downed in the floor which gathered many restaurant, but when I saw the hamburger restaurant at glance, I decided promptly to eat and try hamburger! These are the picture of it!!

BEAUTIFUL WOMAN

In this year, one of my aim is to be a beautiful woman!

By the way, what kinds of people are they called beautiful or elegant?

In my opinion, beautiful is that people who cares their clothes, appearances and behavior, I think.

First of all, Daddy-Long-Legs and Jervis is the same person. Interestingly, Jerusha Abbott did not notice it until the end of this story. She has only seen the shadow of Daddy-Long-Legs and she does not know his real face and who he is. On the other hands, she has the acquaintance with Jervis and talks with him again and again directly. It was really interesting how different impression which she has about the same person. Here is the quotation of her first impression to each of man.
Daddy-Long-Legs: “The shadow pictured grotesquely elongated legs and arms that ran along the floor and up the wall of the corridor. It looks, for all the world, like a huge, wavering daddy-long-legs. ”
Mr. Jervis Pendleton: “He’s tall and thinnish with a dark face all over lines, and the funniest underneath smile that never quite comes through but just wrinkles up the corners of his mouth.”

3) LITERARY TERMS
1, Setting
The setting of this story is in the 20th century of orphanage and university in America. In this age, the right of female and each female’s values were not so respected in social.

2, Point of View
In the bingeing of this story is told by the omniscient. On the contrary, other part of story is told by the first person. Most part of this story except the chapter one is composed by letter for “Daddy-Long-Legs” which is written by Jerusha Abbott who is the heroin of this story. This type of story is also called epistolary style.

3, Conflict
Jerusha conflicts with her own environment, ignorance and impatient feeling. She has been grown in orphanage since she was born because her parents died when she was a little girl. Therefore, she has never experienced ordinary family’s and young girl’s life. She is ashamed of herself. Even though it is the common knowledge for the same age of people with Jerusha to read some literary books such as Alice in wonderland and Cinderella, she never read these kinds of books.

4, Climax
This story has a happy ending. After Jerusha graduated from university, she started to work in the farm which is located in Lock Willow. Simultaneously with her farmer job, she tried to keep writing her novel in order to be female novelist. One day, she was proposed to get marry by Jervis Pendleton who is the uncle of her best friend in her university. She also loves him, so that there is no reason to reject his proposes, but she didn’t accept it. She has had one complex that she was brought up in orphanage. However, in the end of this story, Jerusha got married with Jervis. This incident is the first time for Jerusha to get comfortable family in her life.

5, Symbol
The symbol of this story is that woman’s social position in the 20th century of America and the opportunity to express their own ideas and feelings should be offered to people who is anxious with studying and learning regardless of female. In this age, as for female, going to university and taking high level education are not major customs. However, thanks to her unique ability of English composition, Jerusha gets the chance to grow her writing skill and aim to female novelist.

6, Irony
The irony of this story is that, in fact, Jervis Pendleton, who got married with Jerusha, was exactly the same person with “Daddy-Long-Legs” who suggested Jerusha to go to university and continued to support her campus life economically. However, she did not notice this fact during spending her campus life and sending her letter to him. When she rejected Jervis’s marriage propose, she send letter to Daddy-Long-Legs to ask if her decision was right or not and she wants to meet him directly. This is the first time for her to recognize Daddy-Long-Legs and Jervis is the same people.

7, Theme
The themes of this story reflect Webster's interests in social work and women's suffrage. Some scholars have criticized Daddy-Long-Legs as being an "anti-feminist fairy tale", while others have argued that Judy shows growing independence, including increasing disobedience to her benefactor. In addition, gradually his wishes, and indeed succeeds in educating Daddy-Long-Legs that he cannot control her, and that his socialism needs to move from the academic into real life.

3) REFLECTING ON THE STORY; a) How does the character’s life compare to your own.
I and Jerusha Abbott have both the difference and the similarity in our lives. First, Jerusah has never experienced ordinary family’s life because she was brought up in orphanage and does not have parents. On the other hands, for about twenty years of my life is the typical example of ordinary family’s life. I was grown by respectable parents and had a little quarrel with my older and younger sisters moderately. In addition, the education was good enough and the financial situation in my family was not so bat. It is not too much to say that it is ideal environment. So it is really pity that I cannot share the negative feeling in her mind such as isolate and ashamed of ignorance. However, both of us left for the capital from our home-town to go to university. I greatly sympathized that she was perplexed to new environment while I was reading this story. Changing the life style, adjusting the new environment and living with strange people are more uneasy and uncomfortable things than many people have expected.

It says countries such as the UK must help poorer nations curb water use.
"We must take account of how our water footprint is impacting on the rest of the world," said Professor Roger Falconer, director of the Hydro-Environmental Research Centre at Cardiff University and a member of the report's steering committee.

"If we are to prevent the 'perfect storm', urgent action is necessary." The term perfect storm was used last year by the UK government's chief scientist, Professor John Beddington, to describe future shortages of energy, food and water. Forecasts suggest that when the world's population soars beyond 8bn in 20 years time, the global demand for food and energy will jump by 50%, with the need for fresh water rising by 30%. But developing countries are already using significant proportions of their water to grow food and produce goods for consumption in the West, the report says. "The burgeoning demand from developed countries is putting severe pressure on areas that are already short of water," said Professor Peter Guthrie, head of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Cambridge University, who chaired the steering group.

"If the water crisis becomes critical, it will pose a serious threat to the UK's future development because of the impact it would have on our access to vital resources."
Key to the report is the concept of "embedded water" - the water used to grow food and make things. Embedded in a pint of beer, for example, is about 130 pints (74 litres) of water - the total amount needed to grow the ingredients and run all the processes that make the pint of beer. A cup of coffee embeds about 140 litres (246 pints) of water, a cotton T-shirt about 2,000 litres, and a kilogram of steak 15,000 litres.

3) SUMMARY
Developing countries face the shortage of drinking water. Nowadays, many people just believe mainly fact of water problem are abnormal weather such as drought and overpopulation. However, growing imported products in the developing countries also cases the shortage of drinking water. For example, in Brazil, cultivating coffee beans requires the large amount of water. According to the date of UNESC, if we want to drink a cup of coffee, we need about 150 liters of water. It other words, growing 1 kilo gram of coffee beans takes about 21,000 liters of water. So, now, Brazil and other developing countries suffer from producing imported goods. But, unfortunately, coffee beans are one of the representative products for Brazil and it supports the finance of the nation, so cutting back on producing coffee beans can be caused financial problem. These water problems will be remained to the same for a while.

I'd like to introduce about recent my favorite movie.
Its title is "otonri" which is produced in Japan.
The main actor is Junichi Okada who is one of the members of V6.
He acts "Satishi" whose job is camera man and doesn't have girl friend.
The other main actress is Kumiko Aso who is well-known among the middle aged people.
She acts "Nanako" whose job is the staff of flower shop and aims to the flower designer.
Of course, she doesn't have boy friend either.
They live in the same apartment and next rooms.
This story is about romantic love story, but, interestingly, both of them have never seen each other directly.
However, thier sound of lives make them comfortable each other and gradualy, they fall in love without direct communication.

What I learn from this movie is that my first priority in my life is not love, but self-realization and making the living on my own.
In other words, it's independence.
Human being cannot live without love and supporting each other is important, but too much dependence does not mean anything, I think!

Ireland is divided into four areas. Leister, Munster, Connacht and Ulster. Ireland has two aspects. Civilized and historical aspects. Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and center part of education and people’s urban life. As you watched video, it is crowed by many people. And also, there are oldest university and vast library. On the other hand, in the countryside, there is much traditional architecture like castles, churches and towers and in New grange which is located in south parts of Ireland, has the ruins like a pyramid in Egypt. Besides, thanks to the abundant nature, Cal way is known to the place which provided romantic view of the coast. Mixed of urban life and quite countryside attracts so many tourists and that’s why Ireland is popular sightseeing spot.

"Food" makes my daily life more creative and happy and also it's impposible to skip regular three times meals in a day.

By the way, speaking of food, there are two types people who take part of "eating" or who are engaged of "cooking."

Today, I telephoned with my family and kept talking for about an hour.
The topic was not so important thing like my campus life, but as for me, it was really presious time to comuinicate with them.
My old sister asked me about my plan in summer break. What are you going to do? or How long will you stay in Sapporo?
A few seconds, I silented and could not responese to her question.
Then, I noticed that I have nothing to do in this summer break!

Last summer break, I came back to my home town for the purpose of aquiring driver's licence.
It was a little bit tough work for me because regardless of summer break, to pass its examination, the students in draiving training school was demanded regular attendance in its lessons.
I was too busy to be relaxed enough, but thanks to the draiving training school, I could spend really worthwhole time in last August.

On the other hand, in this summer, what I have to do is only part-time job!
I do not want to waste of my summer time, so from now on, I start to think seriously about it!!

June 18th on Friday, I purchased new clothes on OIOI which is located in Machida.
And also this is the popular fashion building for young people.
The name of the shop I bought it is "Majestic Legon."

I can say the same thing in the case of daily shoes.

However, this is the positive aspect for me to grow up my motivation to try to be beautiful!!

Father's Day

June 20th was the Father's Day and I gave some presents for him.
I love my father because he always care of my health condition and call me at least once a week.
So, I am sure that this is the time to convey my appreciation to him.
As I said before, my home town is Sapporo which is far area from Tokyo and I have to send it.
It takes two or three days to arrive my presents there.
Anyway, the thing I gave was T-shirts and a polo shirts.
I bought the polo shirts at the UNIQLO, it means the polo shirts was not so expensive.
On the other hand, the other one was really expensive clothes. Do you know the United Arrows?
This is very famous clothes shop among the young ladies and adult.
To be honest, when I first look at its price tag, I hagitate to purchase it.
However, I want my father to be happy and smile, so I decided to buy it!!

June 8th
Today, I did not have a part-time job and had nothing to do, so I rent some DVD from TUTAYA and enjoyed watching it. These free times are really precious for me. By the way, the title is “The Wife of Viyon.” This movie was released in 2009, but its original story was written by Osamu Dazai in 1950. Do you know him? I am sure that he is well-known modern literary author among all ranges of agers in Japan. “The wife of Viyon” is minor literary work and not so many people are familiar with it, but how about “Hashire merosu” or “Rashomon.”? May be some of you studied and read it when you were the high school students during the modern Japanese classes. The vocabulary and writing style of his literary works are very difficult, but they are really sophisticated. Now, I read only English literary works because my major is the English and American literary. However, I think that reading Japanese thing is also important to deepen the knowledge of literary. From now on, I want to read more Japanese one if I have a time. Let’s move on to the movie topic. This is the story about love story. Its main actors are Takako Matu who acts “Sachi” in the film and Tadanobu Asano who acts “Otani” in the film. Both actors are one of the most famous and great top performers in Japan. It is not too much to

say that anyone cannot play the role of “Sachi” and “Otani” except them. The police determined the likely causes of 24,434 suicides, or 74 percent of all cases, by such means as notes left by victims or information from people close to victims. Unemployment led 1,071 people to kill themselves, an increase of 65.3 percent; other life-related hardships led to 1,731 suicides, a rise of 34.3 percent.
The number of suicides jumped in October 2008 following the onset of the global financial crisis and has remained high since. Each month, from January to August 2009, saw more suicides than for the same month a year earlier.
The most frequent cause of suicide was depression, blamed for 6,949 deaths, a rise of 7.9 percent from 2008. This has been the No. 1 cause for three consecutive years. Since, the NPA says, a combination of factors often leads to suicide, it is likely that financial worries or difficult relationships and other problems at the workplace are responsible for many cases of depression.
Middle-aged people are the most susceptible to suicide. The number of suicides per 100,000 people was highest for people in their 50s (38.5 deaths), followed by those in their 60s (33.5) and those in their 40s (32.1). Ominously, the suicide rate for those in their 20s was 24.1 deaths, and it was 26.2 deaths for those in their 30s — both are a record high since 1978.
Apparently behind the suicides of young people is economic stagnation and a pervasive feeling of gloom about Japanese society. In addition to striving to identify and help those who may be suicidal, the government should put into place the economic, social and education policies that can help give young people hope and meaning to their lives.

When I first read this article, I got really shocked so many teenagers and younger people commit a suicide in Japan. What is worse, their most major factor lead the suicide is mental problems such as depression related with social unrest. Of course, frequently, I also feel that I want to die and want to disappear from this world. However, maybe I never commit a suicide because now, I have really good friends and family who support me. So, to avoid and prevent from being too much depression, the most important thing is making good human relationship with people who are around us. Not everyone help you, but, as least a person will absolutely help and support you.

“HERO” is really famous song! Sakurai made this song for his child. When I listen to it for the first time, it was really impressed for me. I learn one thing from this song. It is natural for parents to love their children, but it is so difficult and great thing to love their children.

I love Mr. Children, especially Kazutoshi Sakurai who is the vocal of Mr. Children.
This group was organized in 1992 by Sakurai, Suzuki, Nakagawa and Tahara.
Now, they take an important part of Japanese pop music.
If they release new single song and best album, they certainly raise their name in the top of music lank. Why are they so popular and loved by the large numbers of people?
The answer is their lyrics.


Both of their melody line and their lyrics are produced by Sakurai.
His words are really sympathy and impressive among young people to adult.
When we are depression, his song has courage us.
Sakurai said in his interview that he wants many people to be activity and positive thinking.
I think his dream and desire has already come true!!


Another reason why they are one of the most popular Japanese singers is the way to Sakurai’s sing.
His way of sing is very unique.

“Tomorrow never knows” is also really famous song, but it was published in 1994, so nowadays, not everyone knows it maybe.
I recommend you to listen to it when you are depression.
This lyric give us positive thinking.

In these days, I spend a really worthwhile time not only in the school life, but in private time. However, sometimes I am irritated with little thing and can not put up with it. Here is my experience which I could not control my anger.


In the evening on Monday, I was on three hours shift as the cram school teacher. Almost every child who comes to study in this cram is junior high school student.
High school student is minority.
To be honest, when they study English, mathematics or something these kinds of academic subjects, their attitudes are never seemed to be settle down. Some students started to lose their temper when they faced difficult questions to solve and others started to chat with their friends. In short, all of them dislike studying. It is not too much to say that they HATE studying.


When I met them first, I could not understand why those of people who hate to study come to the cram.
Don't you think it is just a waste of time and money?
Attending the cram is not compulsory education and it costs their parents the large amount of money per a month.
If I were their parents, I would have pay money for another thing!

I got really shocked the scene Artax, who is the Atreyu’s partner and his appearance looks like a centaur, sunk to death marsh. Simultaneously with that, I respected his nobly behavior. He is always loyal to Atreyu and not to hesitate supporting his risky adventure whatever happened to them. When he is dying in the death marsh, he said to his master” Will you grant my last wish? I beg you to go away. I do not want you to see my end. Will you do me that favor? Farewell, Atreyu, my master, and thank you.” (62p, chapter3, Morla the Aged One) I am sure there is a close bond beyond master and servant relationship between them. It must be a strong friendship.


3) LITERARY TERMS
1, Setting
The setting of this story is a little bit complex and it can be roughly divided into the two sections. All incidents happening in the first half of the story are described as the real world especially in London and in the duty storeroom at Bastian’s high school. On the other hand, the setting of the last half of story is in the Fantastica where is the magical world created by Bastian’s imagination.


2, Point of View
This story is told by the omniscient. Not only the protagonist, but also about more than twenties characters are described their appearances, acting, feeing and emotion on each scene in detail. These descriptions are full of sophisticated adjective and objectively.


3, Conflict:
There are many conflicts in this story. In the beginning of the story, Atreyu conflicts with an evil to save his world. In the middle part of the story, Bastian conflicts with an avaricious in his mind to obtain everything whatever he likes. In the end of the story, Bastian conflicts with his own weakness in his mind.


4, Climax
　At the end of this story, Bastian realizes that what the most crucial for overcoming his own weakness in his mind. His biggest achievement in this story is relying on someone around him. After he was saved by Atreyu, who is the closest friend for Bastian, he opens his mind little by little and shares the common purpose with him. Through communicating with Atreyu, Bastian learns from him that it is impossible for all human being to live alone and he is not only the person who feels loneliness in the life.


5, Symbol
　　 Bastian symbolized the inferiority complex, loneliness and weakness lurking in people’s mind. In the first half of story, his personality and appearance are described as timid, restrained, otherworldliness, not so handsome and plum. He cannot get alone with people and does not have any friends. What is more, he is the typical person who is bullying in his high school. Moreover, he is not good at sporting and studying. His only strength is imaging something in his head.


6, Irony
The irony of this story is that Bastian could not discern the importance of friendship until Atreyu left from him. After Bastian became an absolute monarchy and obtained authority power, nobody refused his order and scolded against his arrogance behavior no matter how outrageous he was. However, Atreyu was the only friend who strongly and directly warned his dirty behavior. He always persuaded Bastian to change his mind, but his effort was over in vain. What the worse thing, because of criticizing Bastian’s behavior, Atreyu were banished forever from Fantastica. This cruel penalty given to him caused unrest among the people in Fantastica because Atreyu was bravely and reliable person and he was loved by everyone. After he left from Fantastica, people around Bastian and Atreyu’s friend finally started to rebel his forcible style. Bastian did not know what he should do for preventing from rebel because there was no friend who advices to him anymore.


7, Theme
The theme of this story is that it does not mean anything in this world without human imagination.
In the middle part of the story, Bastian gives the name to Childlike Emperss, and its name is moon which comes from his imagination. It means that Bastian’s imagination saved the Fantastica. In addition, after Bastian goes to Fantasitica, he obtains authority power that he can create whatever he like. Thanks to his creative imagination, the Fantastica started shining and full of beautiful and grander nature, elegant and attractive architecture, what is better, various kind of people who have different skin color, languages and region would get alone with each other. In conclusion, imagination and coming up with creative idea can be solved the social issue such as environmental problem and racial discrimination.


4) REFLECTING ON THE STORY: h) what is something you learned from the story?

I got two worthwhile things when I finished reading this book. The first worthwhile thing l learned from this story is that people who do not have any troubles and inferior complexes never existed in the world. In other words, it is impossible to be the perfect, so it is necessary for human being to help and encourage each other. At the end of story, one idea came to his mind that he is not only the person who feels loneliness in the life. It is the most impressive phrase while I am reading this story. The second one is that human being is the greediest creature on the earth and no matter how wealthy and wise they are, cannot help comparing with other superior people. This is not negative aspect for human being and it is reason for all human. However, when people compare with someone, not to be too negative and greedy is important. Too much negative mood and greedy behavior can be harmed not only oneself, but also other people such as friends and family.

ABOUT DHURARARA!!

I'd like to introduce about this picture.

This is one of my favorite character whose name is izaya orihara.He is the character in DURARARA!! and takes part of typical bat character in this story, but I really like him.

He looks like so cool and hansom with his crimson eyes and his cold smile.

What is worse thing, his hobby is playing a nasty trick on a person.

According to him, he loves all human being because this is the most interesting and foolish creature on the earth.

Despite of their foolishness, sometimes they do or act unexpectedly.

That is why he is really interested in human being.

May be ordinary and kind people hate such a ill-intentioned person like him.

However, I think almost every story will not be composed without opponent like him.

What is "DURARARA!!" ?: It is the title of popular novel among the young people and this story is about perverse love story.

The auther is Ryogo Narita who publishes another famous and popular novels.

The highlight of this novel is various kinds of unique characters and their human relationship.

The first publication was in 2004.

Thanks to great admiration by a large number of fans, in 2009, it started to being televised in Japanese major broadcasting station.

I really recommend you to watch this animation at least once!

MY FAVORITE THING

Reading Japanese comic book and watching animation are my hobbies!
Fortunately, recent Japanese comic books are published not only in Japan, but also in foreign countries, so I can read it both of Japanese and English. As for me, it is good tendency.
In addition, thanks to the development of free browsing animation site like you tube, it does not cost me so much to rent these kinds of DVD in the video rental shop.


Nowadays, almost everything is existed in the website on the internet and I am really glad to bear in this generation although it is the hard generation to get a job for teenagers and the age of twenties: )

By the way, my favorite genre of Japanese comic book is manga published for Japanese younger men.
Especially I love BLEACH.
This manga is serial running things in magazine whose name is Jump.
I am sure that almost every teenager have heard the title of this Japamese comic book and the neme of this magazine.
Jump is one of the most major boy’s magazines and also BLEACH is as
famous as NARUTO and ONEPIECE.
This is the action story, but it also includes the humanity.
"Each character's sense of values" is the highlight of this comic book, I think.


Recent Japanese comic books are said that the contents of the story are poorer than that of our parents’ generation one.
I agree with their opinion.
Actually, the total sales of Japanese comic book are decreasing year by year.
That is the evidence to be poorer their contans.
However, I prefer the quality of illust

rations and charcterization for each character to that of our parent’s generation one.

CAFE ❤

On Wednesday, I had a comfortable time at Ducky Duck Café in my lunch time.

Do you know the name of Ducky Duck Café? Ducky Duck Café is not more famous than Star Backs, Doutor Café and Excelsior Café.
Actually, neither of me, it was not until living in Tokyo that I was familiar with it.
The advantage of Ducky Duck Café is customers enjoy not only the coffee and sweets, but also meal like a sandwiches and various kinds of pastas. Unfortunately, its cost is not reasonable, so I rarely visited there without my payday.

These four pictures are lunch menu I ordered on Wednesday.

Lettuce and Potherb Mustard Salad: I was surprised to see that it was decorated by pink dressing which taste is onion and consommé. It was greatly impressive for me because I have never seen pink dressing.

Carbonara Sandwich: this is the main dish on Wednesday. To sandwich egg and butter between slice of bread and it is baked. Its surface is crisp and hot. I recommend you to challenge it if you have a chance!

Chocolate Cake: this is the sweets that I am really looking forward to eating. In Ducky Duck Café, there are various tastes of hand-made cakes such as chocolate cake, strawberry short cake, and tea taste chiffon cake.


Tea Taste Chiffon Cake: its sponge cake was really soft and elegant taste. Making soft sponge cake is never easy work and whether the cake is tasty or not depends on each sponge, so it was too delicious to forget its taste. I recommend you to try it with something to drink like an apple tea or coffee.

　The third holiday, in May 3th on Sunday, it was also the perfect day to hung the laundry out to dry. Besides, the highest temperature was 24 degrees in a day. According to the weather report, a sequence fine day during the GW in Tokyo was rarely occasion for recent fifty years. I was really surprised to hear the news and decided to go shopping and visit real estate to look for a new house to rent with my dormitory friend. Here is my experience that day.


I woke up at 7 o’clock in that morning. That was refreshing morning for me because I did not need to set an alarm clock to get up. As for me, no alarm day is indispensable thing in my ling life. It is not too much to say that no alarm day is one of my hobbies. Then, after I took the shower, my door bell was rung. When I opened the door, my friend was standing in front of my room and a few words from each other were exchanged. We downed to the first floor connected with our restaurants.

Until the noon, we got off the train at the Meigi Shrine station and arrived in the Harajuku. It was extremely crowded and hot like the rush hour at the Yokohama line so that it was really uncomfortable feeling while we were walking down the Takeshita Street. However, when we started to look around our favorite clothes, cosmetics and jewels at the department store whose name is LAFORET HARAJUKU, our behaviors changed soon. This is the most popular department store which includes the latest fashions among the teenagers to the people in twenties.

We enjoyed shopping and talking with the shop assistants without eating lunch! I love shopping and this is my new item which I bought.J Summer is coming soon and I am really looking forward to wearing it.

・・・・busy・・・・・・

The first day, although it was perfect day to go outside and wildly spread blue sky, I stayed in my office and worked hard all the day.
I regretted that having made a plan such as the sitting in my chair for a long time and facing the display of the computer whole a day.


What was worse thing, there were the large amount of the tasks which staffs have to carry out, so I could not come back home until my quote was finished.
At the beginning of that day, my superior said that all the things I have to do were complete my own tasks and after I carry it out, weather I work over time or not depend on my decision. However, when I prepared to go back to my home, he seriously asked me to help his work.
It was impossible for me to refuse his request because his expression was so exhaustless.
After all, my working hour in that unlucky day was about 16 hours!
Can you believe it?


In the next day, I was so spiritless that I could not leave my room especially in my bed for about 12hours.
It is obvious things that too much sleeping cause poor health, but I kept sleeping until I was satisfied.
It was difficult to say that my first day and second day were good, but thanks to these long working,
I could earn about twenty thousand yen only that day.

The wonderful GW was over and it was rapidly pasted whole a week. During the holiday, I had spent a really busy and restless time.
The thing I did in my lovely holiday was worked hard, watched my favorite animation, went shopping to Harajuku and Omotesanndo, cleaned my room, and completed lots of my assignments.


Before I introduce you my daily life in the holiday, I would like to explain about my part-time job.
During the spring break, I started to work in one office which is located in Machida. My job is only marking examinations which were answered by elementary school students from fourth grade to sixth grade.
It is very simple work, but unexpectedly, concentrating on these monotonous working for the long time requires patience.
In addition, marking mistakes are tube. It means that it is made much of precise and speed.


By the way, there are always more than one hundred staffs in the office and almost every staffs are various kinds of college students.
It is the chance to talk with other university students and get much information related to job hunting.
I want to enjoy making relationship with them.
